ASH Project Term 2015: Adirondack Adventure

Family–owned Camp Pok-O-MacCready is home to Sacred Heart’s Adirondack Adventures. The camp provides traditional outdoor winter experiences such as hiking and snow-shoeing, as well as the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to be able to “overnight” on the trail. Will the group attempt to climb the four peaks which tower over Long Pond (climbing Rattlesnake, Bare, Sugarloaf and Pok-O-Moonshine) to each their Pok-O Patch? Follow us to find out!

Rattlesnake Mountain Hike (Sunday, March 15)

3/15/15 We hiked a second mountain, called Rattlesnake. Now we are half way to earning the Pok-O Patch.

On Rattlesnake Mountain, we stopped 10 times before the summit, to learn about the effects of the logging industry and other facts about the mountain.

Enjoy Winter in Willsboro. My Mom has a summer cottage there. It's a beautiful place any time of year! Have a great PT 2015 and Happy St. Paddy's Day!
