The two teams were divided into the Birkens: Luisa, Sara, Kennedi, and Amelia and the Dr. Eggelstien Fan Club: Alexa, Olivia, Nikoo, and Lulu. The task was to create a device that would protect an egg from a drop. The two teams were hard at work, when the Fan Club's team cracked; thankfully the egg was still able to participate in the competition. Then the egg was dropped on the floor again and suffered another crack. When it came to the actual drop, the Birkens and their egg survived; it was in a hammock style device. Sadly, the Fan Club's device was not suited for the competition and their egg did not survive. The overall result was that the Birkens won for the best plan and device, but the Dr. Eggelstien's fan club was given 6 bonus points because their egg was "tampered" with. The judges made an investigation that proved the Birken's egg had bullied the Fan Club's egg; causing both of the cracks!

Now...there are some among you that did the Egg Drop in Lower School and should know just how to do this...BUT -- this time your Dad's couldn't help! Stay warm. I miss you, SRB
ReplyDeleteIt was not fair because the two egg drop experts, Sara and Amelia, were in the same team. Glad you are all having fun!
