ASH Project Term 2015: Adirondack Adventure

Family–owned Camp Pok-O-MacCready is home to Sacred Heart’s Adirondack Adventures. The camp provides traditional outdoor winter experiences such as hiking and snow-shoeing, as well as the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to be able to “overnight” on the trail. Will the group attempt to climb the four peaks which tower over Long Pond (climbing Rattlesnake, Bare, Sugarloaf and Pok-O-Moonshine) to each their Pok-O Patch? Follow us to find out!

After Dinner - Saturday, March 14

After dinner we went on a hike to Bare Mountain, which we just got back from. On this hike we enjoyed the darkness and the quietness of the mountain. We returned from the hike around 11:00 pm and had a nice fire with s'mores. We all reflected as Sara and Olivia were the leaders. Soon after, we wrote in our journals and went to bed. Bare Mountain is a good night hike as I recall. Ms Hehs and I went on this same experience many years ago. I hope you all can get your Poko Patch this year.
